Klap alternative
A Klap alternative with a free plan
Klap prices by the number of clips it makes; iaclips by the hours of video you put in. Here's what each one publishes, and when each one fits.
A free plan that renews
30 minutes of video every 30 days, no credit card. Klap lets you make 1 video for free to try it, then it's a paid plan.
Pay for the video, not per clip
Creator: 5 hours a month for $12. Pro: 12 hours for $29. However many clips come out of them.
No watermark on any plan
The free plan included.
Edit on the transcript
Tap a sentence to start or end a clip there, or fix a word in the captions.

Which one makes sense for you
Klap, if
- You want an API, or to plug it into Zapier, Make or n8n.
- You post to TikTok, Instagram and LinkedIn and want unlimited social accounts and analytics on every plan.
- Your videos are screencasts or gaming, or you want split-screen layouts.
- You need a language that isn't on iaclips' list: Klap lists 52.
iaclips, if
- You want to start free and keep a free allowance every 30 days.
- You'd rather know how much video your plan covers: hours, not clips.
- You'd rather fix clips sentence by sentence on the transcript.
Questions
Is Klap free?
Klap lets you create 1 video for free to try it. Its pricing page lists only paid plans, billed yearly: Basic ($14 a month, 100 clips), Pro ($39, 300 clips) and Pro+ ($94, 1,000 clips). iaclips has a free plan: 30 minutes of video every 30 days, with no watermark and no credit card.
How does Klap's price compare with iaclips'?
They count different things. Klap counts the clips it makes (Pro: 300 a month for $39, billed yearly); iaclips counts the minutes of video processed (Pro: 12 hours a month for $29, or $22 billed yearly), however many clips they give. Klap doesn't publish a price per hour of video.
How long can my video be?
Klap doesn't publish a maximum on its pricing page, home page or developer docs. On iaclips, up to 30 minutes per video on the free plan (choose a part of a longer one), as long as your hours left on Creator and Pro, and up to 4 hours from a YouTube link.
Which languages does each one work with?
Klap says it edits and transcribes 52 languages. iaclips detects the language automatically, or you pick one of 9: Spanish, English, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Japanese or Korean.
Which one makes better clips?
We haven't published a blind comparison, so we don't claim either way. Try the same episode in both: Klap's free video against iaclips' 30 free minutes.
